Volleyball Recap: Ingleside's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Ingleside's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Three Rivers Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ingleside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-22.

Oakley Ruiz paced Ingleside's offense, picking up 17 kills. Ruiz got some help from Ella Casey and her 26 assists. Casey and Ruiz didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Ingleside's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-15. As for Three Rivers, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ingleside will welcome Hebbronville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Three Rivers, they will face off against Agua Dulce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
