Baseball Recap: Laker Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Laker nor Caro made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Lakers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Lakers were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Laker and nudges their season record down to 11-7-1. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Caro, they moved to 17-15-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Laker had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
