Parsons lost to Independence back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Vikings came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0.

Parsons easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20.

Parsons' win bumped their record up to 15-7-1. As for Independence, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Parsons is set to take on their familiar foe Pittsburg on Thursday. Meanwhile, Independence will challenge rival Labette County on Tuesday.
