Baseball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Franklin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 12-3 to the Loyd Star Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in February.

Judson Arnold made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Detrick Starks was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Loyd Star, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-11.

As of now, neither Franklin County nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
