Baseball Recap: Bergen Tech Comes Up Short

Bergenfield hit Bergen Tech with a four-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Bears, falling 10-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 12-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2021.

Bergen Tech saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joe D'Amico, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Steve Choi also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bergen Tech's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Bergenfield, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

While Bergen Tech had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
