Winter Park and Cornerstone Charter Academy are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2016, but likely not for long. Winter Park will host Cornerstone Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Winter Park has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Cornerstone Charter Academy will arrive with seven straight victories.

Winter Park fell victim to East River and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 1-0.

Winter Park saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylie Scanlon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Charter Academy was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They blew past Lake Minneola 11-1. The Ducks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

Kenzie Boisvert was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Nogueras, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Cornerstone Charter Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .303 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Cornerstone Charter Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Winter Park, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
