Leo dropped their record down to 10-3 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the South Bend Adams Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Leo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carley Funk, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for South Bend Adams, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. That's two games straight that they have won by just one run.

On South Bend Adams' side, the team relied heavily on Avery Kidwell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Kidwell has launched this season.

Leo has already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Peru on the 26th. As for South Bend Adams, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-1 loss against Edwardsburg on the 26th.
