Volleyball Recap: Pratt Comes Up Short

Pratt was the 2-0 winner over Bluestem when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Greenbacks fell 2-0 to the Lions on Saturday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Bluestem scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21.

Mica Stapleton paced Pratt's offense, picking up ten kills. Stapleton were helped by Emry Myers and Savannah Copus, who contributed nine assists each. Addison Sowers controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pratt has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season. As for Bluestem, the victory got them back to even at 11-11-3.

Pratt has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Kingman on the 4th. As for Bluestem, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Pretty Prairie on the 4th.
