Meanwhile, Mountain Vista put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Rock Canyon 54-7. Castle View better keep an eye on Marquise Reese. He was instrumental in Mountain Vista's win, throwing for 365 yards and six TDs while completing 72% of his passes, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Those six passing touchdowns gave Reese a new career-high. Brooklyn Bailey was another key player, picking up 156 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Mountain Vista didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Rock Canyon to a completion percentage of just 47.6%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Xavier Borel and Noah Cella, who each logged one passes deflected. Mountain Vista has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.63 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.63 in their last three games.
