Baseball Recap: Hauser Gets the Win

Hauser won the last time they faced Waldron and things went their way on Friday too. The Jets skirted past the Mohawks 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jets.

Kameron Blair spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Stryker Gill was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Lukas Christian was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Hauser's record now sits at 7-3. As for Waldron, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hauser will host Rising Sun at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waldron, they will be playing at home against Indy Genesis HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Indy Genesis' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Mohawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
