Meanwhile, Benicia also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to American Canyon by a score of 3-1. The Panthers have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
While Benicia ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 25-18.
Berean Christian will have to contain Zoe Cohen as she made an impact in Benicia's last game. She had 30 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, Cohen is now averaging an impressive 10.6 digs per game. Justice Brown also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Benicia now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Berean Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Everything went Berean Christian's way against Benicia in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Berean Christian made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
