Basketball Recap: Andrew Jackson Extends Road Winning Streak to 13

Andrew Jackson had won 12 straight road games dating back to last season and Tamia Watkins did her part to make it 13 on Tuesday. The Andrew Jackson Volunteers breezed by the North Central Knights to the tune of 102-13 thanks in part to Watkins, who dropped a double-double on 39 points and 15 boards. Her evening made it 14 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Fair, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 12 points. Those 12 points gave her a new career-high.

Andrew Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for North Central, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrew Jackson will host Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Andrew Jackson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge. As for North Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chesterfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
