Softball Game Preview: Singer Hornets vs. Elizabeth Bulldogs

The Singer Hornets will venture away from home to face off against the Elizabeth Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Singer has given up an average of 11.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Singer lost 15-2 to Evans on Monday. The Hornets have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Singer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Breeanna Mitchell, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Elizabeth never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Northside on Monday. They walked away with a 16-12 victory over the Vikings.

Elizabeth let Emma Seaman and Addison Sumbler run wild. Seaman scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Sumbler went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Sumbler has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney D, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Singer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Elizabeth, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.
