Football Game Preview: Rotan Yellowhammers vs. Aspermont Hornets + How To Watch

The Rotan Yellowhammers will venture away from home to square off against the Aspermont Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Two weeks ago, Rotan was beaten by Northside 78-33. While losing is never fun, the Yellowhammers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Indians are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Aspermont put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Loraine, posting a 46-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by exactly 46 points.

Aspermont's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Rotan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Rotan took a serious blow against Aspermont in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 56-6. Can the Yellowhammers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
