Richland strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pasco Bulldogs a 22-0 shutout. The Bombers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Sophia Sams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Payton Chacon was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Bolson, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Richland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Richland pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Pasco, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Richland is set to square off against their familiar foe Hanford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bombers 1.4, the Falcons 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Pasco will take on rival Chiawana at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
