Volleyball Recap: Caldwell Academy Takes Down the O'neal School in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Caldwell Academy walked away with it. They put the hurt on The O'Neal School Falcons with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 25-10.

Caldwell Academy had a senior duo take command as Lilli Telleysh had 12 assists and six aces and Stella Streng had 12 digs and two aces. Telleysh has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Caldwell Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces in three consecutive matchups.

Caldwell Academy's win bumped their record up to 20-6. As for The O'Neal School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.

Caldwell Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Salem Christian School on the 16th. The O'Neal School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
