Volleyball Recap: North Ridgeville Comes Up Short

North Ridgeville had taken Midview down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Rangers fell 3-1 to the Middies. The Rangers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Middies earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

North Ridgeville was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Midview work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 21-25, 27-25, 25-21.

Ava Hoch paced North Ridgeville's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hoch got some help from Sydney Dales and her 18 assists. Macie Miller and Aubrey Sierra kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Dezirae Thomas was a one-woman wrecking crew For Midview. as she had 18 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Thomas has posted since back in August.

North Ridgeville has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Midview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

North Ridgeville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Berea-Midpark on the 25th. As for Midview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Avon on the 25th.
