Basketball Game Preview: Xenia Buccaneers vs. Oakwood Lumberjacks

The Xenia Buccaneers will venture away from home to face off against the Oakwood Lumberjacks at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Xenia came up short against West Carrollton on Friday, falling 68-42. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Oakwood beat Ross 71-60 on Saturday. Given the Lumberjacks' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Rams are ranked 351st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Oakwood and bumps their season record up to 15-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points over those games. As for Xenia, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
