Basketball Recap: Dawson Springs Comes Up Short on the Road Against Todd County Central + How To Watch

Dawson Springs had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to the Todd County Central Rebels. The Panthers lost against the Rebels in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 92-15 score last time.

Leading Todd County Central to victory were Connor Holder and Spencer Pool. Holder went 7-for-12 to rack up 19 points, while Pool shot 50% from the field on his way to 13 points and seven boards. Those seven rebounds gave Pool a new career-high. Hunter Johnson was another key player, putting up nine points and six boards.

The victory got Todd County Central back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Dawson Springs will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on McLean County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Todd County Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Muhlenberg County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
