Baseball Game Preview: Union City Golden Tornadoes vs. Gleason Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Union City will face off against Gleason. The Golden Tornadoes will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Union City took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Gleason 12-2. Considering the Golden Tornadoes have won eight matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Gleason's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Morgan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Union City is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Gleason, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11-1 record this season.
