Recap: White Knoll Timberwolves vs. Sumter Gamecocks
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the White Knoll Timberwolves had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 35-7 victory over Sumter. The win was just business as usual for White Knoll, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading White Knoll to victory were Sean Evans and Landon Sharpe. Evans rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown, while Sharpe rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown. Austin Cunningham did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 93 receiving yards.
White Knoll pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Sumter, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
White Knoll will face off against Summerville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Summerville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Sumter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
