Preview: Nederland Panthers vs. Two Roads Charter School Falcons
The Nederland Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Two Roads Charter School Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Nederland struggled with assists on Thursday (Loveland Classical had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Nederland was beaten by Loveland Classical 69-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nederland has scored all season.
The match pitted two dominant players against one another in Gavin Dillon and Caedon Meyer. Meyer had a great game and scored 11 points along with eight steals. Meanwhile, Dillon did his best for the losing side, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Two Roads Charter School, who are still winless after their fourth game. They had to suffer through a rough 42-15 loss at the hands of Weldon Valley. Two Roads Charter School has not had much luck with Weldon Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Nederland bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Two Roads Charter School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
Nederland barely slipped by Two Roads Charter School when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 1-0. Will Nederland repeat their success, or does Two Roads Charter School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
