Football Recap: Sulphur Golden Tors vs. New Iberia Yellowjackets        
        
		
             After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Acadiana, Sulphur was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They came out on top against the New Iberia Yellowjackets by a score of  28-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Tors also won the last time the pair played  back in October of 2023.
 Sulphur got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Brodie DePriest out in front who rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 139 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes. Another rusher making a difference was  Tyler Joubert, who gained 113 total yards and a touchdown.
 The  win  got Sulphur back to even at 3-3. As for New Iberia,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sulphur will host Southside  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Southside's defense has only allowed 12.2  points per game  this season, so Sulphur's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for New Iberia, their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Barbe at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
