Basketball Recap: Foard Comes Up Short

Foard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hibriten Panthers. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 64-62 to the Panthers when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Foard still got an impressive performance from Holden Caldwell, who shot 46% from the field on his way to 17 points. Jaydon DelVechio was another key player, putting up four points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Foard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hibriten, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Foard will challenge Draughn at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 72.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hibriten, they will square off against South Caldwell at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
