Brunswick had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 41-37 W against the Glynn Academy Terrors. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Terrors are ranked 132nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brunswick's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Moore, who threw for 376 yards and four TDs while picking up 15.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 42 yards. Another player making a difference was Josiah Gibbons, who gained 265 total yards and a touchdown.

Brunswick's record now sits at 5-1. As for Glynn Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Moore and Jahbari Felix. Meanwhile, Glynn Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Evans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
