Basketball Game Preview: St. John Woodchucks vs. Bishop Ryan Lions

The St. John Woodchucks and the Bishop Ryan Lions will round out the year against one another at at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. St. John is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, St. John came up short against North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette] and fell 59-48.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 59 points the game before, Bishop Ryan was a bit more limited in their contest last Thursday. They were outmatched by South Prairie/Max and fell 60-22. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Bishop Ryan dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for St. John, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

St. John strolled past Bishop Ryan when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 70-51. Will St. John repeat their success, or does Bishop Ryan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
