Birmingham waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They enjoyed a cozy 74-55 victory over the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Birmingham's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mandell Anthony, who went 9 of 20 on his way to 26 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. Those eight assists gave Anthony a new career-high. Another player making a difference was X'Zavion Mc Kay, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards.

Birmingham smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Birmingham is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Granada Hills Charter, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-9.

Birmingham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 79-58 loss against Chatsworth on the 29th. Granada Hills Charter has also already played their next game, a 49-47 defeat against Taft on the 29th.
