Basketball Game Preview: Midland Bulldogs vs. Permian Panthers

Midland hasn't had much luck against Permian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Midland Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Permian Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Midland turned things around against Odessa on Friday. They secured a 46-41 W over the Bronchos.

Meanwhile, Permian entered their tilt with San Angelo Central on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed by the Bobcats to the tune of 76-49. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 26 points or more this season.

Permian pushed their record up to 18-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Midland, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-17.
