Baseball Recap: South Winneshiek Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clayton-Ridge on Wednesday, South Winneshiek came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Turkey Valley Trojans by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

South Winneshiek's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Turkey Valley, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14.

Coming up, South Winneshiek will host Clayton-Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Turkey Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-5 victory against Charles City on the 20th.
