Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Cardinals vs. Northwest Mustangs

The Lincoln Cardinals are taking a road trip to square off against the Northwest Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Northwest will come in with eight straight wins.

On Monday, Lincoln didn't have quite enough to beat Cole Camp and fell 5-4.

The Mustangs didn't even let Otterville on the board, marking the Mustangs' second-straight 4-0 shutout. Give the Mustangs' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Northwest pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
