Groves owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over the Islands Sharks. The Rebels have beaten the Sharks the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Sharks has come to flipping the script.

It was another big night for Tamiya Washington, who threw for 250 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 33 yards. She also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, defending one pass and snagged an interception.

Groves' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Islands, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Groves didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 win against Statesboro on the 9th. As for Islands, they will face off against Windsor Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
