Baseball Recap: Commerce Comes Up Short

Commerce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Sequoyah Eagles, falling 16-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 last Monday.

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sequoyah, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Commerce didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 18-0 defeat against Salina on the 26th. As for Sequoyah, they will head out to face off against Chelsea at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
