Basketball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia entered their match against West Essex on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Columbia Cougars lost to the West Essex Knights at home by a 52-33 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 63-53 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Columbia now has a losing record of 8-9. As for West Essex, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
