Skyview is 8-2 against Kelso since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Skyview Storm will challenge the Kelso Hilanders at 4:00 p.m. Skyview is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games dating back to last season.
Skyview's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Evergreen as Skyview made off with a 17-0 victory. Fans of the Storm have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Reese Perdue made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Perdue was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Sadie Vigil was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Audrey Jackson was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI.
Skyview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Kelso was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to WF West.
Kelso saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kalli Carter, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Skyview pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Kelso, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Skyview took their victory against Kelso when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-3. Does Skyview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kelso turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
