Basketball Recap: Bridges Prep's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Bridges Prep needed a changed in momentum after dropping six straight games and they got it from Zariyah Henry. Everything went the Bridges Prep Buccaneers' way against the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators on Tuesday as the Bridges Prep Buccaneers made off with a 40-19 victory thanks in part to Henry, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Alaysia Neal, who posted six points in addition to 12 rebounds and seven steals. Those 12 boards gave her a new career-high.

Bridges Prep's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Bridges Prep and Hilton Head Prep will round out the year against one another at at 11:00 a.m. on December 26th. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Charleston Math & Science at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
