Basketball Recap: Esperanza Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

Esperanza Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Community Health Academy and fell 93-35. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 726th, while Community Health Academy are ranked 360th).

Esperanza Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Community Health Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Esperanza Preparatory Academy will take on City College Academy of the Arts at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Esperanza Preparatory Academy is facing City College Academy of the Arts at the right time seeing as City College Academy of the Arts is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Community Health Academy, they will welcome Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Community Health Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
