Basketball Recap: Kentwood Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mt. Rainier last Tuesday, Kentwood came back down to earth. The Kentwood Conquerors lost 68-48 to the Kennedy Catholic Lancers on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Conquerors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-56 back in January.

The defeat snapped Kentwood's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-12 record. As for Kennedy Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kentwood will welcome Kentridge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennedy Catholic, they will host Mt. Rainier at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Rainier has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
