Deer Valley waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victor by a 71-45 margin over the Agua Fria Owls. The Skyhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Owls, too.

Agua Fria's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bryan Burrows, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points, and Micah Mccalla, who posted 13 points. That's the most points Burrows has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elijah May, who put up six points and eight rebounds.

Deer Valley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Agua Fria, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deer Valley will welcome Westview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westview knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Deer Valley likes a good challenge. As for Agua Fria, they will take on Cactus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Agua Fria is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season.
