Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Gets the Win

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hawks on Friday. Buckeye came out on top against Apollo by a score of 2-0.

Elias Ramirez paced Buckeye's offense, picking up seven kills. Ramirez got some help from Marc Vera and his 15 assists. Vera also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Carson Skinner, racking up three apiece.

Buckeye's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Apollo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Buckeye wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Kellis on the 15th. As for Apollo, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Northwest Christian on the 15th.
