Soccer Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Columbia challenged Sumrall on Thursday. The Columbia Wildcats lost 7-0 to the Sumrall Bobcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-2. As for Sumrall, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

Columbia will take on Forrest County Agricultural at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sumrall, they will face off against West Lauderdale at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. West Lauderdale is on a four-game streak of home wins, Sumrall a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
