Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Madonna's 11th in Last 13 Outings

The Madonna Blue Dons were able to grind out a solid victory over the East Fairmont Bees on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Madison Owens paced Madonna's offense, picking up nine kills. Owens got some help from Sophie Brady and her 16 assists. Brady was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Madonna has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. As for East Fairmont, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Coincidentally, Madonna and East Fairmont will both be playing Gilmer County the next time they take the court. The Bees will head out to face the Titans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Blue Dons will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
