Soccer Recap: Claxton Victorious

While Claxton's victory against Dublin wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers skirted past the Fighting Irish 4-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Claxton's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Dublin with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Woodley Jean, Oscar Morales, Agustin Saucedo, and Moises Maldonado.

Claxton's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Dublin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Coming up, Claxton will challenge Tattnall County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Claxton will be up against Tattnall County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.67 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dublin, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vidalia at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
