Baseball Game Preview: Choctaw Central Warriors vs. Choctaw County Chargers

Choctaw Central hasn't had much luck against Choctaw County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Choctaw Central has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Choctaw Central and Northeast Lauderdale had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors lost 15-1 to the Trojans on Friday.

Meanwhile, Choctaw County made easy work of Calhoun City on Friday and carried off an 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Choctaw County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Choctaw Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.
