Soccer Recap: Odyssey Institute Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tonopah Valley last Wednesday, Odyssey Institute came back down to earth. The Odyssey Institute Minotaur lost 3-0 to the Northwest Christian Crusaders on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Minotaur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Crusaders are ranked 34th).

Odyssey Institute's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Northwest Christian, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Odyssey Institute wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 14-0 win against River Valley on the 21st. As for Northwest Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Gilbert Christian on the 21st.
