Volleyball Recap: Timnath Cubs vs. Windsor Wizards

Timnath and Windsor squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Timnath had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Windsor Wizards. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cubs of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.

Aubrianna E Gerdes paced Timnath's offense, picking up 12 kills. E Gerdes got some help from Jersey Mccollum and her 17 assists. Mccollum also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Cassidy Miller, racking up two apiece.

Windsor found their leader in sophomore Avery Smiley, who had 13 digs. Smiley has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 16 times she's played.

Timnath's loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Windsor, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

Timnath does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Windsor, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Palmer Ridge on the 15th.
