Softball Recap: Solon Comets vs. Streetsboro Rockets

Solon never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Streetsboro Rockets 10-0.

Kassidy Samuelraj made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Samuelraj was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ali Palsa was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Izzy Shima also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Solon hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Streetsboro struck out nine times.

Solon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-14 record this season. Coming up, Solon will square off against Twinsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Streetsboro, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-6 defeat against Edgewood on the 19th.
