Frontier Regional won the last time they faced Taconic and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Hawks put the hurt on the Thunder with a sharp 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Hawks, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Raine Wonsey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Delaney 'Lu' Fifield was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. As for Taconic, they will welcome Mount Greylock Regional at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
