Baseball Recap: Christian Heritage Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Christian Heritage can now relate to. They fell just short of the Nazarene Christian Academy Lions by a score of 8-6 on Saturday. If the Sentinels were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Lions when the teams met back in April of 2015, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Griff Holt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Sawyer Brumit was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Christian Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Christian Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, they will face off against First Baptist at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Saints have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
