Baseball Recap: Susquehannock Triumphs

While Susquehannock's win against York Suburban wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Trojans 5-4. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Andrew Unglesbee made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has become a key player for Susquehannock: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise. Unglesbee was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Drew Hargest, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Susquehannock's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for York Suburban, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Susquehannock will square off against Bermudian Springs at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for York Suburban, they will face off against Dover at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
