Volleyball Recap: Elk Rapids Comes Up Short

The Elk Rapids Elks didn't have quite enough to beat the Calvary Baptist Academy Kings on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Elk Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-1. As for Calvary Baptist Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Elk Rapids and Calvary Baptist Academy will both be playing Roscommon the next time they take the court. The Elks will head out to face the Bucks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Kings will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
